Airsoft Gun Maintenance Guide
Basic maintenance for AEG's
1. Read the users manual before playing. Each AEG will have different operating characteristics.
2. After playing, remove the magazine and switch to single shot mode to release the spring within the mechbox by firing off 3-4 times. ( Fig 1 ) Finally disconnect the battery ( Fig 2 ). Clean and lubricate your AEG before storage, as needed.
3. Clean the inner barrel ( Fig 3 ) and spray some silicone onto the hop up after heavy use. ( Fig 4 )

Gas operate pistol basic maintenance
1. Read the user manual before playing, each pistol will have different operating characteristics.
2. After playing, clean any dirt off the mechanisms, release the remaining gas in the magazine. After cleaning, please lubricate in all areas indicated in figures 5-8.
3. Periodically, spray 100% pure silicone in the magazine gas fill valve and discharge valve to keep the seals lubricated.
4. Stock pistols should only use HFC134a gas! Modified pistols with improved internals can take HFC22, also called Top Gas or Green Gas.
5. When filling gas magazines, the proper way to do it is with the gas inverted. ( Fig 9 ) See user manual for your gas pistol for illustrations.
6. A 2 - 3 second charge with any type of gas is sufficient (Too much gas will damage the magazine and/or the seals and thus cause leakage.)
7. After repeated use the magazine may be very cold. This will cause a decrease in power due to the gas not expanding correctly, please wait 5 - 10 minutes to allow the magazine to warm up.

Pressing trigger with no response
1. First, inspect the motor, has it overheated? If the motor has overheated, ( Fig 10 ) please allow the unit to cool sufficiently. If not, try a different battery, preferably a known fully charged battery. If you can detect resistance within the motor like it's trying to turn or can hear faint humming noises, disconnect the battery immediately to prevent further damage to the AEG.
2. If motor diagnostic turned up negative, like the motor was dead. Please check the battery connections ( Fig 11 ) and motor connections ( Fig 12 ). Also check the fuse and see if it has burned out. ( Fig 13 ).
3. If everything checks out from above and it is still "dead". Then there could be other problems inside the AEG.

What should you do when AEG's are jammed with a BB.
1. Use the unjamming tools that came with you gun. Insert it into the barrel and push gently until the jammed BB comes loose. Note: Barrel does not need to be removed from gun before unjamming BB. Afterwards reverse the tool and attach a clean strip of cloth, spray lubricant/cleaners on the cloth and then insert into barrel to clear dust or dirt from the barrel. Spray some silicone through it and wipe residuals one more time.
2. Don't use any poor quality BB's, especially in tight bore barrels!
3. If the AEG still will not feed or fire. There could be a problem inside the unit or maybe in the gearbox. If you are new to Airsoft or not experienced in repairing Airsoft items, please send the item to one of our designated repair facilities.
Proper use of AEG's
1. Excessively long firing in full auto will cause premature wear inside the gearbox. ( Do not empty a hicap in one long burst! )
2. Firing in bursts is better for your gearbox, squeeze trigger straight back, do not push trigger sideways for it will damage the gear box.
3. After playing, please put AEG in safe mode or please engage the safety. ( Fig 14 )
4. Do not over charge your battery. Over changing batteries will result in reduced battery life and or battery damage.

In addition to the above:
1. NEVER reuse BB's!
2. Keep DRY FIRING (firing without ammo) to a minimum!
3. Do not deplete the battery's energy by firing the gun until it quits.
4. The battery should be run down using a discharger before being recharged.
5. DO NOT apply firearm cleaning tools and procedures to your Airsoft product. Make sure that only PURE SILICONE is used in the maintenance of the gun. Any other lube such as WD-40 OR CRC 556 WILL RUIN YOUR AIRSOFT!
6. Never allow the Airsoft gun to come in contact with water, moisture, or dirt.
7. DO NOT use silicon spray as a lube, it will evaporate at some point and you will not have lubrication at all. Use either a silicon grease or white lithium grease.
8. Avoid "playing" with moving parts needlessly! These break and fall off. (Even on the TMs!)
