12+5 equals 16...TAMA BA UN?...
To my fellow Ilocano Airsofter's, Greetings!...I would like to share our experience in the 2nd MVF Invitational Cup...
What can our team say about it?...The Game Site is one of the best that we ever played in. Game Fee of P350.00 it's worth it, the Game fee included meals for 3 days, bottomless mineral water, trophies, plaques and cash prize.
The Game Scenario was race to the flag, 16 players from each team with corresponding cards with points. Every team started with 100 points. For each member of the team who gets hit, the corresponding card number that he's/she's holding will be deducted from the teams original 100 points.
--The sad story, it was TEAM MASIBEG's 5th Game...--
our standing was 3 wins 1 loss. 1 more win & we were in the semi finals. LUCKILY WE WON, AND WAS PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD..
How it become a sad story?..WE WON RIGHT?...Yup we did according
to the PROFESSIONAL COMMITTEE, while we were watching the other matches: there was an announcement in the public address system they were looking for me. I was wondering why. I rushed to the committee table just to find out that the other team complained about the result. So they called all the marshals and they were discussing what the mistake was. After their discussion they found out the problem, one member of our teams opponent submitted his score card after all score card were submitted to the official canvassers tallied the scores and proclaimed us the winners of that match.
As the Committee continued their discussion regarding that matter, in came to their decision that we should have a rematch. While thinking over their decision, a marshal asked the concerned marshals how many cards did he submitted, he replied 12 cards, and the other marshal answered 5 and they both insisted that they were holding and submitted those cards.
Ok, so it was a mistake in the comP***tion so we were about to admit the mistake of the committee, we did a little grade school math. 16 players in a team so there should be 16 score cards. Right?. Why did the marshals concern submitted 17?..12+5 = 17 hhhhhhhhhmmmmmm something fishy huh?..if a player commits a mistake the player or the team suffers the consequence, if the committee commits a mistake the players still suffers the consequences.
The team decided too pack up, shut up and walk out, after the other teams found out what happened to us, ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE. They were shouting out our team's name, MASIBEG!!!MASIBEG!!!MASIBEG!!! And they joined the walk out, I couldn't convince all the other teams NOT to join the walk out but they still did.
My personal opinion?...
We Filipinos are being cheated practically our whole lives, by the government, by our religion and other else, PATI BA NMAN SA AIRSOFT COMPETITION MAY DAYAAN PA!!! it is understandable if it's the players who are cheating but not from the ORGANIZERS and MARSHALLS...
Our heart felt gratitude to the teams supported TEAM MASIBEG. You guys know who you are, you made us more than CHAMPIONS!!!...
